ETTF Spring 2015 Newsletter is out now

The latest ETTF Newsletter includes interviews with GD Holz Chief Executive Thomas Goebel, who gives his views on the state of the German and wider timber sector, and Belgian Environment Minister Marie-Christine Marghem, who discusses her government's stance on the EU Timber Regulation.

Belgian Timber Importers Federation Bart de Turck also gives his organisation's perspective on the EUTR and its recommendations for the current European Comission Review of the Regulation.

There are also updates on the ETTF-proposed, ITTO-supported online tropical timber industry business and legality information platform and the ITTO-managed EU International Market Monitoring project.

News includes latest timber promotion campaigns in France, Finland and Austria and reports on developments in the European Sustainable Tropical Timber Coalition.

There is also coverage of the 2015 International Hardwood Conference, which takes place in Copenhagen in September, and International Softwood Conference, which follows in Amsterdam in November, both of which are now jointly backed and organised by the ETTF and European Organisation of the Sawmill Industry (EOS).
